Carwale CarValue (Beta) launched

On 29th April, we silently launched our most awaited Car Valuation System. However, its in beta phase as of now. We call the tool 'Carwale CarValue'! By saying 'launched silently', I meant to say that we haven't put a link on even homepage of carwale.com. The only link is there at MyCarwale. This tool tells seller the approximate market value of his/her car while buyer can get approx value of the car he/she intends to buy. This way the Carwale CarValue tool helps both sellers and buyers. We ask user to provide car's make-model-version, car's make-year and his/her city. As soon as valuation request arrives, our valuators calculate the value of the car. Generally within 24 hours user gets the value. Our valuators calculate 8 values for every car, 4 for individual buyers and 4 for dealers. Each 4 values are against car's conditions i.e. Excellent, Good, Fair and Poor. Terms and conditions for every 'car condition' is described in detail. First response of the tool has been satisfactory so far. We are receiving on an average 10 valuation requests per day. Yesterday's count was 16!

Overwhelming response to Car Recommendation System (Beta)

We launched Car Recommendation System (Beta) on March 23rd of this year. The tool has got overwhelming response so far. Approximately 150 searches are being done daily. People use the tool and share their views on it by sending us feedback. Most of the feedbacks are positive. We are grateful to the people who sent us their feedbacks, no matter positive or negative. Positive feedbacks encourage us while negative help us improve. Overall the tool is a success, people are appreciating it very much. Car Recommendation System (Beta) works like an instant help, think of an auto expert, who is asking you your preferences and suggesting you the best car for you instantly. We are happy as it is making some of Indian buyers' life easier. Our dream is "Each and every Indian buyer uses the tool before going for a final deal". If you haven't used it, go ahead use it now. This is absolutely free to use. Now what are you waiting for? :-)

Need help? Mail Hyundai Guys!

Do you have anything to ask about Hyundai product e.g. Santro or Accent? If yes, don't wait a second, drop a mail at their official e-mail address and forget... Trust me, they will forget to reply too! I had asked them a couple of questions regarding Santro Xing history and I am still awaiting their response, its a week now! Their site shows Santro Xing XL doesn't have Front Power Windows while Santro Xing XL has. Now you can't trust their data along with their customer support. I was considering hyundai.co.in as one of the most active site among Indian OEMs, but nay, I was wrong, they proved it. Its not the case with Hyundai only. I sent a mail to Tata Motors asking for Safari Petrol and TCIC colors yesterday and still there is no response at all. I am not expecting the answer anymore. I had had similar experience with other OEMs as well. Considering these facts, it seems India desperately needs a proven good source of information. Along with showing detailed specification of various model/versions, we are starting to show Colors available and detailed features. But Alas! As of now we are dependent on these OEMs for the data. :( Another cool feature has been introduced in carwale, you can write review on your favourite car. We have received two such reviews in two days of its launching. I will write in detail about more new features being availed on Carwale.com this week. :-)

Chevrolet Aveo - A Short Introduction

Chevrolet Aveo: The Mind-blowing, Mind-blasting, Todu-Phodu car! Is it right? Well, I don't think so! But Rani and Saif said that it is! Let them say, they won't drive it, you will and then they will not be beside you either to listen to your complaints. Many people on carwale.com were asking for Aveo's first impression. I thought, let people know the truth. So, here I go, I am taking the excerpts from my own reply to such one question. Aveo is certainly not a match for Ford Fiesta or Honda City. Honda City is a proven class while Fiesta's initial impression is very good and it seems better than even Honda City in many aspects. I doubt Aveo's abilities to outperform Fiesta or City. Aveo's only positive point is its very good design. It gives you a great feel inside, thanks to the excessive beige inside! Exterior is good, looks big and overall build quality seems fine too. But when we come to its negative side then we need to have a paper and pen around. It doesn't perform as it expected, lacks in initial pickup and overall speed. Rear-seat is hell if you are a tall person, you will feel that you are sitting in a Bajaj Auto!!! Gearbox doesn't work well either, very hard to shift. Fuel economy might not be promising too, let GM claim it to be 15 in city. I am not impressed with its prices either! The top-end 1.6L version seems fine! Overall, Aveo's first impression is not good and if GM wants it to get going, it will think seriously refining the engine, just Rani and Saif's 'todu-fodu-mind-blowing' won't do. :-)

Car Insurance Premium Calculator launched

Its around one month now, we launched Insurance Premium Calculator for Indian people. We have tried to make it as simple and accurate as possible. The computation of Insurance Premium is done as per the IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority). I had seen few Indian car insurance calculators on web. Most of them are either obsolete in terms of computation or are very hard to use. Some of them were asking visitors to provide IDVs (Insured's Declared Value) of their car and its accessories. In my opinion, not many people understand IDV's and all those extremely typical terminologies of Insurance and they are not supposed to know either. We have provided very small Insurance FAQs and Insurance Terminologies too. They are small but cover most of the useful terms of Insurance in India.
